    IN SUMMARY - Robert Smith?
This book has a wonderful setup, but the payoff isn't as interesting. There are lots of interesting characters, but whole character arcs are introduced but aren't followed through. The Valethske are much more interesting than they have any right to be and despite some dodgy logic, the plot is quite interesting. Not as good as it could have been, but still a fun read.
